Policies

Drop-in classes: You may cancel or rescheduled up to 24hrs before to the start of the class. Classes cancelled within the cancellation window (time of booking up to 24 hrs before the start of class) will be refunded. There are no refunds for late cancellations (under 24 hrs before the start of class). There are no refunds for student no-shows.

Tuition based classes: Tuition is due one week before a new session starts. Monthly payment plans may be requested. Students on monthly payment plans must commit to attending the full session of classes. A $10.00 late fee will be charged each week tuition is overdue. Students will not be let into class for their lesson if tuition has not been received by the end of the 1st week of the session. There are no refunds on tuition after the 2nd class. Exceptional circumstance will be considered on a case by case basis. Any approved refunds will be pro-rated. There are no refunds for missed classes.

Courses: Course fees are due at the time of registration. You may cancel or rescheduled up to 24hrs before to the start of the 1st class in the course. Private Lessons: Payment is due at the time of booking the lesson. Late payments are subject to a $10 late fee every day the payment is overdue. When in person private lessons necessitate a studio rental, the student will be responsible for the rental fee; to be paid to the rental studio directly. You will be provided instructions on how to book a studio. Private lessons are not eligible for refunds. Exceptional circumstance will be considered on a case by case basis.

Private lesson cancellation policy: Private lessons must be cancelled within 24hrs to avoid being charged a $50 cancellation fee. No-shows will be charged for the full lesson along with a $50 no-show fee.

Injury policy: Students who choose to take class with a pre-existing injury should alert the teacher prior to the start of class and take responsibility for non-disruptive self-care as needed. Students who are enrolled in tuition based classes can make up missed classes in another class during the school year. Injured students are encouraged to watch class when feasible. Private lesson students and students enrolled in short courses should contact the studio to discuss their situation.

Sick policy: We request that you stay home if you are sick. Students who will miss a tuition based class or a course due to illness should alert the studio to inquire about make-up classes. Students who have booked an in-person private lesson should reschedule their lesson. Students who are taking drop-in style classes should contact the studio.

Dress code: Studio Pas de Chat does not have a specific dress code. However, it is expected that students dress respectfully; wearing clothing that is both supportive and acceptable for movement. This includes but is not limited to traditional ballet class attire such as leotards, tights, leggings, dance skirts, leg warmers, unitards, dance-belts, tee-shirts, dance warmups, as well as general athletic active wear. Hair should be pulled away from the face and neck and secured. Wearing large jewelry should be avoided for safety reasons. Please contact the studio if you have questions about clothing. Your local dance store is also a good resource.

For everyone's comfort, please refrain from wearing cologne/perfume.

Code of Conduct: Violation of the code of conduct may lead to expulsion from the school.

Practice honesty and integrity, kindness, empathy, and inclusion
Respect the decisions of teachers, volunteers, and staff of Studio Pas de Chat
Bullying and harassment of any kind, in person or online is prohibited
Dancers must not post photos or videos that other students appear in to public facing social media accounts without that students permission

Release of liability: By participating in classes with Studio Pas de Chat, I acknowledge that I understand that there are specific risks of physical, psychological, and/or property damages, losses, and/or injury and/or illness that may result from my, or my child’s participation and I voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation and will not hold Studio Pas de Chat, Lyla Medeiros, associated teachers, staff or volunteers responsible.

Data privacy policy: We receive, collect and store information you enter on our website for the following purposes:

To provide and operate services
To provide users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;
To be able to contact visitors and users with general or personalized service-related notices and messages;
To comply with any applicable laws and regulations;
To communicate with customers regarding payments and monies owed.

Studio Pas de Chat is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. Wix stores your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by you via our website adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by the studio and its service providers. We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. Changes to this policy will be made as needed. So that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it, please refer to this policy page on a regular basis.

Studio Pas de Chat staff and administrators limit the amount of information we collect via the Wix platform as a data privacy precaution. We will never sell your information or disclose it to individuals outside of Studio Pas de Chat staff and administrators, unless required by law. We are not liable for actions, or data breaches taken by or caused by Wix or any of the payment service providers.

Website Owner; the Offering; Binding of Terms: This website is owned by Lyla Medeiros and operated by individuals acting on behalf of Studio Pas de Chat. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors access to information about our school and the ability to register and pay for services provided by the studio. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Who can use your website and what the requirements are to create an account: In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you need to possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any applicable law or regulation applicable to you.

Key Commercial Terms Offered to Customers: When registering for services, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full service listing before making a commitment to enroll and pay for the services: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to pay for a service when you complete the check-out payment process. The prices we charge for services are listed in the registration. We reserve the right to change our prices for services displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. The fee for the services and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the service, such as taxes, transaction fees, or late fees will be charged to your payment method.

Refund Policy: Refunds are only given at the discretion of the studio director under limited circumstances.

Retention of Right to Change Offering: We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

Responsibility for Services: Studio Pas de Chat makes a good faith effort to provide services offered to the best of their ability. When a service is cancelled by Studio Pas de Chat, options to remedy the cancellation will be provided to effected individuals.

Ownership of Intellectual Property, Copyrights and Logos: The Service and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of Lyla Medeiros. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works thereof.

Right to Suspend or Cancel User Account: We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold Lyla Medeiros, or any individuals representing Studio Pas de Chat in an official capacity harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to or arising out of or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services offered on the website. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Lyla Medeiros, or any individuals representing Studio Pas de Chat in an official capacity be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lyla Medeiros, and any individuals representing Studio Pas de Chat in an official capacity assume no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service; and (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Right to change and modify Terms: We reserves the right to modify these terms from time-to-time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review these page periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of the Website or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
